  • Jan 2016- Stared raising money to the Temple Development Fund.
  • Dec 2015- Released the 2016 Calendar (3rd edition)
  • Oct 2015- Started Bhakti Sangalo
  • Fall 2015- Ran second semester of Nepali Education for Elementary level students.
  • Spring 2015- Pilot program imparting Nepali Education for Elementary level students.
  • Jan 2015- Published the 2015 calendar (2nd edition).
  • Aug 2014- Achieved 501(c) 3 status.
  • July 2014- Organized a three days Puran to celebrate First anniversary.
  • Jan 2014- Published the First Calendar for  2014
  • Aug 2013- Started the bi-weekly board meeting.
  • July 7, 2013- OHRC was established by nominating nine board members.

Organization for Hindu Religion and Culture (OHRC) is a non profit charitable (501 C 3) organization established by Bhutanese American Hindu Community living in Harrisburg Pennsylvania on seventh day of July 2013. The core principle of establishing OHRC is to fulfil the spiritual need of former Bhutanese Hindu refugees resettled in Harrisburg metro area who are experiencing unprecedented cultural shift for which they are not prepared to adhere.

Our History

Beside those major events OHRC has been celebrating and observing the main religious events like Janai Purnima, Saraswati Puja, Ram Nawami, Teej etc.

As per the objectives of OHRC we have planned and launched some programs to serve the Hindu Community of greater Harrisburg .
